Doesn’t work for me.. I’m running tiger and when I click “apply” the dock just disappear than reappear exactly in the same way it was.

HEY, Stephane…

To get rid of the spacers treat them as if they were icons and pull them out to hear the swoosh sound as the “disintegrate”they’ll disappear… try it!

I used the docker program as well. I used the settings/stacks tab to add spacer between my icons. What this does is actually is add a space and thus shrink the size of the icons. I added quite a bit of space on my dock but cant return it to its normal settings even when I return to my apple default settings. @ATP: if you want to change the names of more files then just 1, you sould use automator its a standard macOSX application

I know that I know more of mac then you do, but if you even can’t do this easy things you should consider a course like “how to use a computer when you landed in the present time from the dark ages”
another trick for nu2mac: when people say, now go up with your mouse, you don’t have to lift it from your desk.

Not all of us have time to go find apps like these. A lot of us don’t like the dock and aren’t good enough in photoshop or in the system files to change it without an app. I was only providing a way so that people didn’t have to go through a lot of trouble to do what should be a simple thing. I know it might not be a “tip” but I still find it helpful, and I don’t appreciate the sarcasm.
