So you may already know this but I stumbled on this by accident. Anyway if you want to switch between windows in the same program (documents in Pages for example) then you can hold the command key and hit the `~ key (the one above the tab) and that will change the window but not the program. I find it very helpful.

You can also cycle back and forth between application windows via command + (greater and less than).

The board ate the signs so here goes textually: Command + greater than or command + less than.

In fact, on the hungarian keyboard it is Command + í which key is right next to the right Shift key which I find even more comfortable

Sorry. I mean that the í key is right next to the LEFT shift key.

If you’re using a keyboard different from the english one, you can cycle through windows in an application pressing command+option+\ (the key above the tab). I discover it right now

This is why I love this site. Awesome.

This has been in OS X since the beginning. It’s a very useful tip.
You can reverse the cycle if you hold down shift at the same time:
shift-cmd-`
Just as you can with cmd-tab to cycle through open applications and shift-cmd-tab to reverse the cycle.

If it doesn’t work you can check the shortcut in the System Preference/Keyboard/Keyboard Shortcuts list. This functionality is ‘Move focus to next window in active application’

The setting is possible to change using System Preferences - Keyboard & Mouse - Keyboard Shortcuts - Move focus to next window in active application.
Hope this helps.
