When navigating in the finder and when I come into a folder with a lot of items press the 1st letter of the name of the file/folder I need, now I found out when using stacks when you click the stack icon and then pressing the 1st letter of the item I need, it goes to that item (or another one if that one is before it in alphabetic order)

I think you meant “alphabetic order”?

How did you make the transparant dock fully black ? It looks nice.

If you quickly type the first two letters of any file name, TI for Time Machine for instance, does that file get highlighted? This works in older versions of OS X Finder and would of more use than just a first letter.

To Michael: Yes it does get highlighted if you type the letters fast enough.

Hey great tip. I was wondering who you got the transparent dock black? I would be so grateful if you told me.

Something tells me that’s a beta version of 10.5.2- look at this dock folders, too. They’re super sweet.

What are the names or types of the 4 folders that you have to the left of the trash can, and what kinds of files are in them?

I have a problem and maybe you can help me. I have had my mac for about 3 weeks now and during one of the first few days when I was checking out how things work, I accidently removed my stacks, so now, it just adds everthing on the right hand side of the dock like it used to in Tiger. i hope that you can help me! Please email me if you can.

I have the same problem as AC. I accidentially removed my stacks and don’t know how to get it back. If I drag them to the dock they still stay on the right side of my desk top also? Help!………….Gerry
