Check out http://www.quicklookplugins.com for a comprehensive list of ways to improve this feature. Two of my favorites are ZIP (which lets you quick look zip archives) and folder (which will quick look the contents of a folder instead of just the folder icon). This is an amazingly versatile feature, which you may want to create a separate RSS article for your subscribers.

This feature is called Quick Look, and Preview is a program that comes with Leopard that is used to view pdf files. Pressing space bar to use quick look actually saves you having to open preview.
