A powerful share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a bit evaluation on this. And he really bought me breakfast as a result of I discovered it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the deal with! Nonetheless yeah Thnkx for spending the time to debate this, I really feel strongly about it and enjoy reading more on this subject. Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions? Thanks

also the deja menu wouldnt work because I wouldn’t be able to use the keyboard shortcut

The problem i have is that I want to mirror the screens, but when I do the external monitor does not show the menu bar, they are somehow staggered which I cant seem to change. I want to have the menu bar displayed on my tv so I can just take my wireless mouse to bed lol

actually you can do this even easier just simply goto system preferences, Displays, Tab on top Arangement, you can drag the WHITE menubar itself to the desired screen, i am running 10.6.2 but this works on 10.5.8ish and up, maybe even on 10.4 idk

Fantastic tip which I did not know and I have been using a mac for three years but with only a single monitor. Setting up my macbook pro with an additional acer monitor it has been driving me crazy having to go backwards and forwards between screens and looking for a “make laptop secondary monitor” feature. I had read a not very clear instruction and had spent some time trying to drag the dock to the big screen (!) I am VERY happy after finding the above instructions.

bellahorizonte > you can fix your problem by going to display prefs amd

turn off ‘display mirroring’. this will allow individual monitor resolutions so you can have whatever you want on each.

The menubar dragging has been around as long as multiple monitor support (System 2.0). The first mac to support multiple monitors was the Macinhosh II released in 1987. It supported up to 6 monitors (using six nubus cards).
