In previous versions of iChat, bandwidth limiting, or call quality was done on the fly with iChat contacting an Apple server upon opening to determine the connection speed of your client. If your speed wasn’t top notch, the quality of your call would be lowered to keep iChat working smoothly.
Now, in Leopard’s iChat, you can preset the bandwidth of your connection within iChat. Just check it out in preferences > audio/video > bandwidth limit.

Awesome tip, helped me and a friend figure out why our images were so blurry.
For your next tip, may i suggest “Open this page in Dashboard” button feature! it’s right next to the refresh in Safari.

This is not a leopard tip in any sense of the word. It’s been in iChat’s video prefs for forever.

I’ll create a new article about some of the other improvements in the new iChat
