Select anything in apple apps and hit Shift+Apple Key+L, it’ll launch a google search for selected item. Works with most of the stuff but not everything.

If you do it in Mail, it flags the item

why does it open Safari? My standard browser is Firefox.
Its the same with Microsoft you can’t get rid of the OS browsers.

er, I have a new imac with the new ‘wafer thin keyboard’….. cant see an Apple key!

i have the new imac and the keyboard, dont worry, it isnt just you, apple swapped it for the cmd button (left of space-bar) try the cmd button instead…

they just took the apple off the command key. it was always the command key, in earlier models it had an apple on it.

Is it possible to search with one of the regional google sites, rather than main google?
I’m in New Zealand and sometimes like to limit searches to here.
