Looks like when you take a screen cap / grab in Snow Leopard, you get really useful filenames, instead of just “Picture1.png” etc.

Check out this how-to video (done with the new Snow Leopard screen recording feature of Quicktime!)

this is totally useless…i can get the date and time from the modified attribute. what would be useful would be to intelligently name it based on what your grabbing…oh and how bout allowing you to go right to the screenshot i JUST took coz it sho dont’ show up in the recent items menu

well it’s quite useful for me. I’m always taking screen caps and putting them in a blog, or forum. Helps to know which screen shot (by date/time) is which.

Agree it would be wild if the filename included the app which was screen cap’d!

Is anyone else having any problems with screen shots? When I try to do one it gives me an error: Saying “Your screen shot can’t be saved.” under that it says “unable to create type string.” Any help would be great.
