If you drag a window close to the edge of your screen, it will switch over to the next Space.

This is definitely a cool fast way to move an app or window to another space. I like it!

Odd I can’t seem to get this feature to work properly :(

  3. James Says:

Nick, if you drag the window’s menu bar to the side of the screen where you know there’s an adjacent space, wait a quick sec for the space to change, then release, it should now be in your new space. Double check by activating your spaces and taking a look :)

    Nice

I had trouble too. The trick was the location of the mouse pointer. You have to click and drag the window over as far as the pointer. If the pointer is in the middle of the window you have to drag half the window of the screen then wait a second. So it works better to click on the menu bar as close to the side of the space you are headed for as possible.

It doesn’t work for me either. I can hold it by the menu bar and
shove it to either side but it stays in the same space. (confirmed by switching
    to the other space.

  8. James Says:

Ron, your moving the mouse pointer with the window all the way over, right up against the edge of the screen?

    Tobi, your welcome!

Make sure you are not on the last space. It didnt work for me either until i realized i was in the 4th space and did not have a space to the right or under me.

  10. James Says:

Jim, thats a great tip, thanks for that. It could certainly be the reason why people are unable to drag apps into other spaces!

Also, if you grab a window and change spaces with one of the key commands (Ctrl Arrow or Ctrl #number of space), it will follow.
