I don’t know if you could do this in Tiger, probably could, but it’s cool, so here it is.

Open a Finder window, right click on the toolbar at the top, choose “Customise Toolbar”. a window pops up that lets you add extra items to your toolbar, very neat. Each item will appear for every Finder window you open. Here I’ve added the “Burn” button, and the “Info” button.

You can also just drag folders directly into the menu for quick navigation to a custom folder, perhaps “downloads” or “project”, or whatever you like!
