You can change the volume in iTunes in its minimised window form by hovering the mighty mouse over it and using the scroll ball. This works regardless of whether iTunes is the active window or not.

well gus, it works for me whether the mini player (or the main player) are not active!
April 10th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
Well its not doing it for me, and I have the latest mouse as well as the latest iTunes player. ….and why are you yelling, is that an exclamation pt. I see?
April 11th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
cjs1224: make sure you are trying it with the the ‘mini-player’ and not with the window actually minimized to the dock (that’s what I did at first!).
Gus: when you are trying it with the inactive window, do you have the mouse hovering over the volume controls or just the window in general? For me, it works with the mouse anywhere over the mini-player (active or not), but with the main player, the mouse has to be over the actual volume control and not just the window in general (again, active or not).
By the way, first time to this site, very cool. Thanks for the tips!
