leopardtricks.com has been in service since Oct 2007, over three years now, delivering quality tips and tricks for your favorite operating system. We’ve had our up’s and down’s, and even looked at selling up the site. It’s with great pleasure that I announce today we will be continuing the leopardtricks.com legacy with a brand new fresh site, liontricks.com

Lion Tricks will be bringing you the same quality content as Leopard Tricks, including tips, tricks, howto’s and of course video’s where possible.

We are always looking for people to help with the site. Those that have helped over the years with leopardtricks.com, we thank you, you know who you are, and couldn’t have published this stuff without you!

So stay stuned, for 2011 will be very exciting!

I’ve been using twitter for a while now, and I’ve had my personal account linked to the front of this site. I’ve finally set up a dedicated leopardtricks account. Be sure to follow it!

As you can imagine, there’s only so many tips and tricks for Leopard that I can document here. If you find something that isn’t on the site (search the site first) then register and post it! If you get the content from another site, be sure to reference that site.

With Snow Leopard on the way, we will be starting a whole new round of tips and tricks for Apple’s latest OS X gift!

Despite slowly running out of content, I have some exciting news for the site. I’ve started working on video’s for the already published posts, this means you’ll be able to follow me as I show you on video how to perform a tip or trick. As you can imagine, this will be a lengthy process. I’m confident I can get it done! Stay tuned

Today I’ve done some site upgrades (long due), and set up a new iPhone plugin which will allow you to browse the site (fast) on your iPhone or iPod Touch. You will also get the option on your device to switch back to the regular site theme if your not interested in an ‘optimized’ experience!

I’d also like to take a moment to tell contributers that some articles and posts that are submitted are not published, usually because they’ve already been submitted and are in the site already. So please, if your going to make a submission, have a quick search or look through the categories to see if your trick or tip has already been submitted and discussed!

This isn’t a leopard trick, but it’s a good one never the less, and I’m posting it because someone made comment that the site can be a little hard to read due to the text size. Not everyone has superman eye-sight!

So here it is. Whilst in Safari, press “cmd +”. Thats the Apple key, and the plus/equals key next to the “delete” key. Try it. Pressing the minus key “-” will decrease the text size.

I actually use this feature on my kitchen mac when cooking off a recipe I’ve found on the internet. Easier to see when I’m on the other side of the kitchen!
