It’s with great regret that I announce the sale of this web site and domain. I just do not have time to work on it any more, especially now that we’ve just added a new addition to our family (which now makes two little tikes).
During it’s peak, LeopardTricks.com had over 25,000 subscribers, and very regular updates and contributions.
Recently I’ve started adding video’s to each post (starting with the oldest) for each tip and trick. I wish I had time to continue this, it’s great fun.
The site does bring in some income through banner advertising, however not nearly as much as it was (or could) if someone who knew what they were doing was running the site. Contact me for more information on income.
I’m asking $4,000 USD. Paid by paypal. Or by direct bank transfer if you are in Australia. Included is the entire web site (files / database), and domain name. I can arrange to transfer the web hosting over at an additional yearly cost, or, provide / find your own hosting.
Lots of potential for someone who has time to further cultivate the site
Feel free to contact me for more information. James
Hey all, just a quick post to let you know that we’re keeping up to date with technology and further networking leopardtricks.com to various social networking sites.
Firstly, we’re adding more and more video’s to the site (youtube). You can see them embedded right here on the site, or at www.youtube.com/somethingmac.
We’re in the process of creating a facebook page. Make sure if you are on facebook that you “become a fan”.
I’ve been using twitter for a while now, and I’ve had my personal account linked to the front of this site. I’ve finally set up a dedicated leopardtricks account. Be sure to follow it!
Hi all, it’s been a while since I’ve updated the site with actual useful content. Thank you all who have contributed since the site has been running.
As you can imagine, there’s only so many tips and tricks for Leopard that I can document here. If you find something that isn’t on the site (search the site first) then register and post it! If you get the content from another site, be sure to reference that site.
With Snow Leopard on the way, we will be starting a whole new round of tips and tricks for Apple’s latest OS X gift!
Despite slowly running out of content, I have some exciting news for the site. I’ve started working on video’s for the already published posts, this means you’ll be able to follow me as I show you on video how to perform a tip or trick. As you can imagine, this will be a lengthy process. I’m confident I can get it done! Stay tuned
Today I’ve done some site upgrades (long due), and set up a new iPhone plugin which will allow you to browse the site (fast) on your iPhone or iPod Touch. You will also get the option on your device to switch back to the regular site theme if your not interested in an ‘optimized’ experience!
Hi all, I’d just like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the site but more importantly thank the contributers for submitting their tricks, tips and tools to help fellow mac users on their way to a great mac experience!
leopardtricks.com has hundreds of tips in it’s database and over a hundred contributers to the site! Well done everyone.. Continue reading »
www.leopardtricks.com can now be viewed easily and quickly on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
Using an iPhone or iPod Touch to view the site will give you a simplified theme for “cleaner” viewing on these devices. It’s fast too! The URL stays the same, it’s pretty clever stuff!
It appears the Leopard Tricks widget is getting rather popular, and I can see why. The widget is a really easy way to get all the latest information from the leopardtricks.com web site right into your dashboard.
You can download the widget directly from this site. It’s also available on:
This isn’t a leopard trick, but it’s a good one never the less, and I’m posting it because someone made comment that the site can be a little hard to read due to the text size. Not everyone has superman eye-sight!
So here it is. Whilst in Safari, press “cmd +”. Thats the Apple key, and the plus/equals key next to the “delete” key. Try it. Pressing the minus key “-” will decrease the text size.
I actually use this feature on my kitchen mac when cooking off a recipe I’ve found on the internet. Easier to see when I’m on the other side of the kitchen!
