do a search, there are hundreds on the site already. I’ve exhausted this OS already. Perhaps you could give the site some new tips.
defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean NO; killall Dock
Rick, you know what, I just tried to replicate your iPhoto issue with Time Machine, you are right. I can’t get the photo’s to restore one at a time! Updating this post now with a little vid I did.. James
very handy, and I don’t think we’ve covered this one before… thanks for joining up, feel free to add any more neat tricks you find!
If you look through the archives, there are hundreds of posts, and thousands of comments. Back when Leopard was first released, this site was booming with visitors and fresh information. It’s getting quite tired and tips and tricks are wearing thin. Users contribute to the site on their own steam. Perhaps you could submit some tricks of your own rather than bitch about lack of updates.
Pretty cool, I ‘option-clicked’ my battery indicator today and it shows me the “condition”. I like it!
well it’s quite useful for me. I’m always taking screen caps and putting them in a blog, or forum. Helps to know which screen shot (by date/time) is which.
Agree it would be wild if the filename included the app which was screen cap’d!
are you sure they aren’t coming through? what is the last post? Could it be that the site hasn’t been updated since Feb 17?
if you browse the site in your iPhone it should be iPhone-themed. You can save the link to your dashboard and access it directly.. there is no actual leopardtricks app for iPhone
I’m sure there’s an option in the preferences under keyboard for this…
Hold the power button down until the machine turn’s off.
Nate, did you post your comment in the wrong section/post?
I think your referring to the “snow leopard” post? The information in that post was pulled directly from Apple’s web site. (as noted when you read the entire post). Maybe you could send your concern’s to Apple regarding their claims?
I’ve seen a combo file upto 500MB !
sometimes the simplest tricks are the most useful
I did, I’m planning to add video howto’s to as many articles on the site as I can! (when I get some time)
nice trick! thanks
try it all one ONE line in Terminal… (someone, the “terminal” application in Applications-> Utilities)
defaults write com.apple.ScreenSharing ‘NSToolbar Configuration ControlToolbar’ -dict-add ‘TB Item Identifiers’ ‘(Scale,Control,Share,Curtain,Capture,FullScreen,GetClipboard,SendClipboard,Quality)’
Nice one whizzkid and good to see you back!
I’ve been doing a lot of screen sharing to my kitchenmac lately, having the extra tweaks is nice!
nice one gurubaran!
it’s a really strange one! pretty cool
I’ve not tried Omniweb myself… speaking of web browsers, has anyone tried “Flock”? I’ve noticed the adverts for it all over the place, so thought I’d give it a try, it’s pretty good if your into social networking sites like facebook, or media sites like youtube and flickr… not bad at all!
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, will take a look at it tonight!
PDA131, I didn’t know that, that’s cool!
